Accomplishments / Other Work
2019
Site Recovery through CMS Customization
W.W. Norton & Company, Inc.
I brought the company website, which ran on bare-metal servers, back online on two occasions when peak traffic had rendered the site inoperative. The first, by discovering that another developer had left the CMS in debug mode. The second, by coding a custom caching system and implementing it while the site was unresponsive.
From that point on, pages loaded more quickly than I had ever seen, and downtime was never again an issue, increasing the chance that customers would make it through the conversion funnel.
Without this intervention the company would have missed out on the highest volume of sales at the highest profit for the season.
